Dynamics Business Central is Microsoft’s Enterprise Resource Planning (or ERP) solution for smaller companies. It consists of functionality to manage your finances, stock, suppliers and customers. We generally find that customers come to us when they have outgrown the capabilities of Sage 50, Quickbooks or Xero.
As you’d expect with a Microsoft product, it works seamlessly with Outlook, Excel and Word, plus there are integrations with the other Dynamics 365 solutions which can bring in CRM, Project Automation and Field Service functionality.
Although Dynamics Business Central is a relatively new product in the marketplace, it is backed by Microsoft and based on Dynamics NAV (formerly known as Navision), which is currently serving 140,000 customers and millions of users worldwide.
What makes Dynamics 365 Business Central ideal for small businesses is:
No minimum licencing, so you can start with just one user
It’s priced right for smaller businesses
It is flexible and allows you to easily add capability and users when you need it
It is a 100% cloud solution, so no servers or complicated implementations - just turn it on and access it on any device at any time
LS Central adds a retail and/or hospitality layer on top of Dynamics Business Central. That means Point of Sale software to run on your tills and the ability to link to your ecommerce site, whilst having a unified back-office system for finance, inventory and buying
We’ve built a repeatable system – Lightning for Business Central – devised by some of the best industry experts, to rollout Dynamics Business Central to customers who need more than a simple accounting package. This system consists of:
A friendly and knowledgeable consultant to guide you through the process
Automated quick start setup of Business Central, based on your requirements
Data migration templates
Comprehensive training courses
On defining the packages that you need, we will arrange an introductory call with your consultant to go through our pre-project questionnaire, which will help us tailor your Dynamics Business Central system. Following the call, we will provide you with login details to our Lightning portal, where all of the project materials will be stored and you can collaborate with your consultant.
We keep our costs low by doing our implementations remotely, but always using experienced consultants based in your country. Wherever possible the same individual will see you all the way through your setup journey, before handing you over to our dedicated support team.
There are three different types of licenses available for users of Business Central – Essentials, Premium and Team Members. You can find out more about the differences between these license types.
Lightning for Business Central consists of a number of packages that can be stitched together to meet your needs. These packages cover the core financials and commercial capabilities of Dynamics Business Central and include supplementary services, such as data migration and reporting. We’ve found the clients love that approach because it means they’re only paying for what they need.
For LS Central customers, we have a further set of Lightning packages that cover the setup for point of sale, loyalty programmes, till setup etc. Contact us for more information.
