Meet Cowry’s newest member of staff – Betsy Picart

Betsy, welcome! Tell us a little about yourself and your new role.

Hello! I’m Betsy Picart, and I’m Cowry Solutions’ new Office Manager. I joined Cowry at the beginning of October, and it’s been go, go, go from the start! My role is a combination of administrative and finance support, support to the Directors and extended team, as well as assisting with the on-going undertaking and monitoring of customer and supplier activities. I’m the friendly voice that answers when you call the office and who will write you back when you email in.


What were you doing before you joined Cowry Solutions?

I come from an arts and charities background. Before Cowry I was an office manager for an arts and homelessness charity in London, as well as a freelance administrator for various small theatre companies. I also did a bit of acting on the side. I wore many hats and everyday was a new adventure.


Why did you choose to join Cowry?

I’ve always enjoyed working for smaller companies because we get the opportunity to be involved in various aspects of the business, making each day varied and exciting. I was also interested in making the transition into the IT world, so working for Cowry Solutions allowed me to branch out while contributing with the skills I already possess.


What are you looking forward to?

I’m looking forward to getting to know even more about cloud-based technologies and all the incredible solutions we have to offer the small to medium-sized businesses we work with.


Tell us a little about what you like to do away from work.

I enjoy reading fiction, travelling, and spending time with my little dog, Arbie. I also enjoy singing and dancing, and I look forward to seeing a musical in the West End again soon.
